Furniture pieces devoted to specific functions are back in the 2020 design catalogues.
The new designers’ generation is devoted to exploring a contemporary version of the traditional desks. Linear, super-equipped to accommodate not only paper and pen but also electronic instruments, they testify to the reborn desire for literary privacy.
And they are even more sought after in times of pandemic, when the domestic enclosure invites to write diaries, to enter into correspondences with friends who cannot meet freely.
It is easy to predict that post-covid domesticity will retain some habits from tradition.
