The High Light suspension lamps are one of the first products made and present natural colors of the waste material used: Highlight Canapa is made with waste from the processing of hemp; Highlight Tabacco is made with scraps from the tobacco processing of the lower Veneto plain. Residues such as leaves and stems are compressed to create a modern reinterpretation of a timeless classic; Highlight Vino is made from wine production waste collected from a local organic winery in South Tyrol. Thanks to a compression process, the marc gives life to a unique design chandelier. All High Society lamps have a natural beeswax finish which creates a smooth and shiny surface. The canopy is available in matt black painted iron and cotton cable.
High Society Studio is based in South Tyrol, Italy. Giulia and Johannes follow a passion: creating plant-based objects by recycling industrial waste such as hemp, tobacco, marc and much more By exploring new production processes that combine technology and craftsmanship, we want to underline the importance of evaluating waste as a primary resource. These new materials have the possibility of being used in various functions such as the creation of decorative objects and materials for coverings. The continuous research of Giulia and Johannes does not stop and always proposes new solutions in the circular and sustainable economy.
