VARESE NEWS - GIORGIO CAPORASO’S ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FURNISHINGS
AT DESIGN WEEK IN MILAN
The Varese-based designer chose new locations and collaborations to present his Ecodesign Collection for Lessmore
Giorgio Caporaso doubles up his presence at Milan Design Week. The architect and designer from Varese will be attending from September 4 to 10 as part of the La materia diventa Design concept created by Design Italy, a digital marketplace whose ecommerce platform offers luxury Italian designs worldwide.
Material is in fact the central theme of the exhibition, which will be held at Design Italy’s Via Vincenzo Monti showroom in Milan. Material chosen following the principles of sustainability, both due to its origins and thanks to production processes. Giorgio Caporaso for Lessmore will show visitors the concepts and methods of design and construction of some of his environmentally friendly furnishings in cardboard and wood that are part of his Ecodesign Collection.
The issue of how the world of design can contribute to saving the planet is a hotly debated topic recently, so Design Italy’s idea of supporting Italian-made design is an opportunity to direct consumers to choose more sustainable lifestyles and make more responsible purchases. The event is part of an idea of restorative design that asks questions about how this sector, which is so central to everyone’s lives, can also contribute to safeguarding nature.
