Charlotte Perriand concibió la pantalla Paravent Ambassade en 1969 como un verdadero homenaje a Japón. El resultado es una pequeña composición arquitectónica hecha de 313 bloques de madera maciza procesados a mano, ensamblados uno a uno, sostenidos por varillas de tensión vertical y separados por anclajes. Una obra maestra de perseverancia que, gracias al gran número de bloques, permite moldear la pantalla en formas cada vez más diversas y articular su movimiento con sinuosa como la de una micro-malla.
