Shipping & Returns

Design Italy ensures a secure and timely delivery service to over 150 countries globally through meticulous partners such as couriers and freight forwarders. This includes specialised freight services for furniture and bulk orders to ensure pristine and prompt delivery.

Keep in mind that in Italy, these days are holidays, when some couriers and agents may not ship:
1st January, 6th January, Good Friday, Easter and Easter Monday, 25th April, 1st May, 2nd June, 15th August, 1st November, 8th December, 25-31st December.

Furthermore, orders placed over the August holiday season could experience slight delays.

Shipping

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs may be charged to the customer. In this case, they are calculated in the order summary at checkout before your payment confirmation.

Once you purchase, you will receive an email with the summary and all the order's details.

If you have changed your mind right after the order or within 24 hours, we can still cancel the order and send you a refund. Contact our customer care team at customercare@designitaly.com

Shipping Times

Design Italy is committed to shipping your order as quickly as possible.

  • On each product page, “Ready in X working days” indicates the time needed by the producer to prepare the product for shipment.

  • The Delivery Time is assigned by Design Italy to provide the safest and most convenient shipping option:

    • Bulky items are shipped with standard delivery times that vary by geographic area.

    • Smaller items are shipped via express delivery, also varying by area.

    • Delivery times are indicated at checkout and in the order confirmation.

  • If a faster delivery is required, Design Italy can provide a separate express shipping quotation.

  • Total Shipping Time = Ready in working days + Delivery Time.

For customised or made-to-order items, shipping times are estimated by our Customer Care Team, who will keep you updated on the production and delivery status.
Always check the shipping information on the product page before purchasing.

Products in the same order may be shipped separately according to each Shipping Time. 

Several items are available and ready to ship in 24h/48h; others are made to order or customised.  We recommend checking the shipping times information in the product sheet.

Customised or handcrafted products may require longer delivery times, which our customer care team will estimate for you. We will update you during the processing and inform you when your item is ready to ship.

Customs and local taxes are not included in the shipping cost. If due, the customer is responsible for payment before delivery.

Shipping Methods

If not differently stated, Design Italy carries out curbside deliveries.

If you are interested in the White-Glove Service for deliveries to the front door and/or assembly and handling of large oversized items, please contact customercare@designitaly.com

Tracking

Once the order is shipped:

  1. Orders shipped through couriers: you will receive an email from www.designitaly.com and an email from the chosen courier with the tracking number and a link to check your shipping status.
  2. Orders shipped through freight forwarders: you will receive an email from www.designitaly.com and a phone call from the chosen freight forwarder to schedule an appointment

Design Italy ships worldwide. As required by national customs procedures, all shipments outside the European Union are accompanied by an official invoice declaring the value of each individual item. 

The National Customs Office, through the courier or freight forwarder, will inform you of the cost of taxes and duties to be paid before delivery.

Design Italy is not responsible for delays caused by customs operations and controls or force majeure beyond our control.

Returns & Refunds

Returns

With Design Italy, customers are guaranteed the opportunity to return the purchased items (this does not apply to MADE TO ORDER products) within 14 days from the delivery date if defects and damages occurred during transportation and if you enforce the right of withdrawal. 

For orders from December 1st, the return is extended until January 15th.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to customized or handcrafted products, made-to-order products, or vintage products, with the exception of damaged or imperfect products.

To start the return procedure, contact our Customer Care service by emailing customercare@designitaly.com within fourteen (14) calendar days from the day you receive the products.

Refunds

Once your item has been returned, verified, and the claim validated, you will receive the due refund via the same payment method chosen at your checkout, excluding standard shipping costs.
