Un ícono con un alma versátil y funcional, el 7, Siège tournant, fauteuil fue diseñado en 1927 por Charlotte Perriand para su propio apartamento en la Place Saint-Sulpice en París.

Primero exhibido en el Salon des Artistes Décorateurs de 1928, también se mostró en el Salon d'Automne un año después, donde formó parte de una colección que Charlotte Perriand co-creó con Le Corbusier y Pierre Jeanneret.

Tapizado en cuero o tela, esta silla giratoria cuenta con poliuretano expandido y relleno de poliéster acolchado para el respaldo y el asiento. La versión para exteriores presenta un marco de acero inoxidable acabado con pinturas en polvo diseñadas para uso exterior y disponible en cinco colores texturizados, y una cubierta de hilo de poliéster especial que replica la estética de los modelos de interior.

En 2016, se actualizó la estructura del 7, Siège tournant, fauteuil y esto llevó a que obtuviera la certificación Catas italiana.
