Charlotte Perriand konzipierte 1969 den Paravent Ambassade Paravent als echte Hommage an Japan. Das Ergebnis ist eine kleine architektonische Komposition aus 313 handverarbeiteten Massivholzblöcken, die einzeln zusammengesetzt, durch vertikale Zugstangen zusammengehalten und durch Anker getrennt werden. Ein Meisterwerk der Beharrlichkeit, das es dank der großen Anzahl von Blöcken ermöglicht, den Bildschirm in immer vielfältigere Formen zu bringen und seine Bewegung mit der Geschmeidigkeit eines Mikronetzes zu artikulieren.
