Barrel12
Architect and designer Francesca Cutini was born in Perugia and lives and works in Milan, where she owns architectural firm StudioDodici and has completed a considerable number of projects in Italy and abroad.
In 2011, she founded Barrel12, a project to use old recycled materials in order to create design objects that adapt to indoor and outdoor use, as well as to create sustainable pieces with character and uniqueness.
This was her approach in repurposing barrels and transforming them into ambitious and functional pieces of design for both indoor and outdoor use.
"I wanted to transform apparently unusable objects into something with a new identity"
Barrel12 designs come with wheels and are available in a variety of colors. In addition to a version available in a corten steel finish, the collection includes seating elements, ottomans, planting pots and sinks and can be tailored to customer requests and tastes.
