Architect and designer Francesca Cutini, born in Perugia and Milanese by adoption, lives and works in Milan. Owner of the architectural firm StudioDodici has carried out a considerable number of works between Italy and abroad. In 2011 he founded BARREL12, a project born from the desire to use recycled materials to create design objects that adapt to indoor and outdoor use. A sustainable and artisanal recovery that can give each individual object a character of originality and uniqueness, this is the idea of Francesca Cutini who regenerates the barrels and transforms them into an ambitious design and functional recovery project. Inside or outside, from the terrace to the garden to the living room, they find their space: they can be opened and closed.
The need to transform apparently no longer usable and disused objects into objects with a new identity
Each piece of the BARREL12 collection can be mounted on wheels. Available in different colors in addition to the version with Corten finish, the BARREL can be customized according to the needs and tastes of the client. The bins are open-objects. Bookcases, seats, ottomans, plant pots, storage for gardening objects, point of sale displays, workstations, refrigerators. Every person who stops to look at them imagines a use that is a correlate of his experience.
