SIPARIO Collection by MYIN
Born at the crossroads of two of Italy's most celebrated cultural moments — the Salone del Mobile and the Biennale del Cinema 2021 — the SIPARIO collection by Myin is the vision of Italian-Argentine designer Luciana Gomez, a heartfelt tribute to the women who have shaped the worlds of theatre and cinema.
The name itself sets the scene: SIPARIO, the Italian word for curtain, evokes the moment of anticipation before a performance begins — that suspended breath between silence and story. It is from this threshold that the entire collection draws its inspiration.
Every detail has been conceived with intention. The deep, passionate red recalls the velvet curtains of grand stages, a colour that has long symbolised drama, emotion, and the power of storytelling. The mirror, a recurring motif throughout the collection, speaks to something more intimate — the inner world of the actress, the private face behind the public performance. In SIPARIO, the faces of women are not merely represented; they are elevated into decorative elements, transforming personal identity into art.
But SIPARIO is more than an aesthetic statement. It is a collection with a conscience. A portion of the proceeds from every Sipario creation is donated to Amleta, an association founded by Italian actresses to actively combat gender disparity in the entertainment industry — because true artistry flourishes only where there is equality.
