Vietri Collection by Waiting for The Bus
Handcrafted Ceramic Table Set Made in Italy
Inspired by the artistic heritage of Vietri sul Mare, a small village on the Amalfi Coast renowned worldwide for its exquisite hand-painted ceramics, the Vietri Collection by Waiting for the Bus celebrates Italian craftsmanship and cultural symbolism.
Each piece is handmade and hand-decorated in ceramic, combining the purity of the material with the charm of tradition. The collection includes three series:
-
White – timeless elegance in total white;
-
Colored – refined contrast of white and grey;
-
Good Luck Tenore – white with a grey band and a colorful cornetto (horn) motif in six hues.
Each series includes a complete table set composed of: soup plate, dinner plate, serving plate (oval or round), fruit plate, salad bowls, bowls, coffee cup, and side plate.
The cornetto, or o’ curniciello, is a traditional Italian amulet believed to bring good fortune and protect from the evil eye. Its origins date back to ancient civilizations, from Neolithic fertility symbols to Roman and medieval talismans. In this collection, it becomes a design icon — a link between superstition and style, past and present.
