He gained his architecture degree from Milan Polytechnic in 1959 and began his career with Olivetti. Mario Bellini, has left a significant impact on the industry. Throughout his long career, his involvement in material and technological advancements has paved the way for new possibilities in design.

Mario Bellini has partnered with renowned Italian and international brands like Cassina, Brionvega, Olivetti, and Renault, among others. His collaborations have resulted in the creation of revolutionary products, which include the iconic TOTEM radio for Brionvega, and masterpieces for Cassina such as; Leather Chair CAB 412, Leather Armchair CAB 413 and Glass and Wood Coffee Table LA ROTONDA. Bellini's involvement extends beyond product design to remarkable architectural projects- notably the Tokyo Design Center in Japan, the Department of Islamic Art (Louvre in Paris), and the refurbishing of the International Air Terminal at Rome-Fiumicino in Italy.
