When Pantone announced its 2022 Color of the Year Very Peri with its beautiful blend of blue and red, it was clear that blue was set to be a trend in furnishings this year.

And sure enough, lapis lazuli blue is the star of the Casa Azul collection designed by Paola Navone - Otto Studi. For the Milan Furniture Fair this past June, historic interior furniture company Turri entrusted Navone with the interior design project for the company’s entirely Italian-made capsule collection.

Each piece is created by Turri artisans and gives new meaning to the company’s traditions, using different proportions and combinations of different materials. The result is luxurious single-color furnishings that are strikingly bold and harmonious. The collection’s name comes from the azul marble top of the dining table, which features an iridescent, twisting tubular metal base.

Casa Azul collection also features a blue velvet sofa and a methacrylate suspension lamp

Traditional forms blend with unique materials and techniques, including the blue velvet sofa that captures the eye with its sinuous woven pattern, and the methacrylate suspension lamp with forms that are very much in vogue this year. And the exquisite damask fabric embellishing the dining chairs offers an additional classy touch.
