On May 10, 2023, the book "Narrative Design: Between Imagination and Figuration" edited by Stefano Giovannoni, with contributions from Fulvio Irace, Elisa Cattaneo, Giovanna Mancini, and Andrea Branzi, was presented at the Triennale di Milano. The book is published by 24ore cultura and features full-page illustrations. It narrates Stefano Giovannoni's design journey, from his beginnings in 1985 as part of the "bolidista King Kong" group alongside Guido Venturini to the present day, marked by commercial successes. It traces the history of figurative design, finding one of its most accomplished expressions in the Qeeboo home accessories company, founded by Giovannoni in 2016.

The "Girotondo" tray, created for Alessi in 1989, made of stainless steel with a perforated edge that reproduces the paper-cut figures dancing in a circle, is one of the best-selling design products internationally. It is considered one of the pioneering pieces of the pop and playful figurative trend in design. The book's value, enriched with a wealth of visual material, lies in its ability to trace the path of narrative design, starting from Stefano Giovannoni's experience and identifying iconic products of this trend in international production, which remains highly relevant today.
