The different models of the Fauteuil Grand Confort, Grand Modèle, showcase modernity through the distinction between the metal support frame and the upholstered components. The loose cushions are placed within a painted or chrome-plated tubular steel frame, which serves as the main support for the piece in its various forms, ranging from an armchair with one or both armrests to two- and three-seat sofas.
Over the years, Cassina has collaborated closely with Charlotte Perriand, her daughter Pernette, and the Fondation Le Corbusier to introduce new versions and finishes that reinterpret the original design while remaining true to its authentic character. This includes outdoor versions featuring a stainless steel frame and a special textured paint finish available in five colors. The cushions are upholstered in water-repellent fabric to ensure maximum durability and reliability in all weather conditions.
