MANO CORNUTA in silver is a fun decorative statue in hand-cast resin and represents a superstitious Italian gesture used to ward off bad luck.

This collection features other hand-cast resin gestures that symbolise various feelings including wonder, hunger, etc. The mimicry of Neapolitan gestures was first studied and published by Jorio: "The mimicry of the ancients investigated in managing Neapolitan", published in 1832.

Perfect for anyone who needs a little good luck.

Gennaro Regina - Design Italy

Designer

Gennaro Regina

The son of a family of art publishers and antiquarian booksellers since 1865, Gennaro Regina was destined to an artistic career even before birth. After his amazing debuts in painting and photography, in 2007 he furnished a friend's studio and gained great success among the public and critics. His moods and emotions are traced on canvas through paintings and collages that travel from Naples to all around the world.

"I try to reproduce art, and above all, the typical concept of Warhol."

Particularly influenced by Warhol and his way of creating and interpreting art, Gennaro's work brings back that perfect combination of graphics, advertising and art, thus reviving the language of this field with a strong visual and communicative identity, playing with and combining symbols of Naples and Neapolitan tradition and reconciling sacred and profane.

Treasured by collectors, he exhibits his works all over the world and is the patron of the Voyage Pittoresque Factory gallery, an empire of creativity and artistry where paintings, objects and sculptures from different artists are presented to the city of Naples during special events.
