With a streamlined and chic form, small armchair COSTES Wood and Black was designed by Philippe Starck and was manufactured in Italy by Driade.

The chair has a black-painted tubular steel structure and a curved striped wenge plywood shell. The padded seat is in polyurethane foam upholstered in black or beige leather.

This chair was designed for the Parisian cafè by the same name that is no longer in business and owes its success to form: a dark wooden embracing structure and three tilted legs.

Some design objects are universally recognized as icons, as is the Costes armchair, which was designed in 1984 and marked the beginning of the partnership between Philippe Starck and Driade. For indoor use only.
