The lithograph LA SCALA is part of the Freud folder, which includes five subjects inspired by cases recounted in "The Interpretation of Dreams".

A sophisticated exploration of Freudian oneiric symbolism. In this lithograph, Crepax utilises the staircase as a vertical metaphor for the transition between conscious and unconscious states. The composition is characterised by a fragmented perspective, typical of his architectural background, emphasising the psychological tension of the "ascent."

The lithography is shipped in a hard cardboard folder with the logo and fabric closing ties, together with a certificate of authenticity from the Crepax Archive, making it also a beautiful gift for Valentina's lovers.

"We proudly carry on the legacy of Guido Crepax. In our family home, a nineteenth-century Dutch wardrobe serves as an archive for his artwork, filled with lithographs, serigraphs, and prints. This collection began in the early 1970s during his first exhibitions and the Valentina series, with limited editions and artist's proofs set aside by galleries. We're reopening the wardrobe to preserve some copies for ourselves while offering the last signed prints to collectors." Archivio Crepax.
