BARD is a grey polyurethane pouf designed by Giulio Iacchetti for InternoItaliano. A tribute to Milan, its shape echoes the concrete traffic bollards found throughout the city, reinterpreting a familiar urban form as a soft piece of indoor seating.
The contrast between its inspiration and its material gives BARD its character: what appears on the street as a hard, functional object becomes a comfortable seat for the home. Its grey colour keeps the reference to concrete, while the soft polyurethane foam offers a different tactile experience.
