PORTO MIGGIANO limited edition sunglasses, designed by Cristiano Ferilli, are made of Sikalindi®, a prickly pear fibre-based material.
The sunglasses have a square design, inspired by the natural inlet of the Apulian sea coast. The lenses are available in gradient green, inspired by the transparent sea, and in brown, inspired by the sand's colour that surrounds the bay of Porto Miggiano Marina.
Sikalindi® fibre won the 2013 Oscar Green Award, a Salentino and 100% Made in Italy material. The prickly pear is a fast-growing plant that can reproduce quickly spontaneously. The fibre is extracted through a patented and completely eco-sustainable dehydration method without the use of pollutants.
