The HEXAGONAL XL Murano glass vase by Alessandro Mandruzzato brings Venetian glassmaking tradition into contemporary interiors. Entirely handmade, it pairs a geometric identity with the individuality of artisan-worked glass, creating a distinctive focal point for a console, sideboard or dining table.

Traditional Murano glassmaking

Its creation begins in a furnace reaching temperatures of 1400°C, where molten glass blends with coloured minerals. The glass is then encased in a layer of crystal glass and blown into a mould that establishes its initial shape and size.

After cooling slowly in special ovens for 48–72 hours, the piece moves to the moleria, the glass-finishing workshop. Here, hand-guided grinding and cold-engraving techniques refine its form, bringing out the character of HEXAGONAL XL.

An individual piece for your interior

Choose from grey, titanium green, tobacco or transparent glass to complement your space. Display HEXAGONAL XL on its own as a decorative accent or make it part of a considered arrangement of objects. As each vase is entirely handmade, slight differences from the piece shown are part of its individual character.

All creations by Alessandro Mandruzzato bear the “Vetro Artistico Murano” trademark. Custom engravings are also available; please fill out the form below for more information.
