The exquisite SETAREH GLASS suspension lamp, designed by Francesco Librizzi and expertly crafted in Italy for FontanaArte, draws its name from the Farsi word for ‘star.’

This refined collection offers both tabletop and suspension lighting, embodying the elegant concept of shaping light. Featuring a spherical opaline blown glass diffuser gracefully suspended beneath a slender, disc-shaped metal shade, the lamp exemplifies a harmonious balance of form and gravity.

It delivers soft, dimmable illumination via 1-10 V/PUSH control. Constructed with a galvanised metal frame, a painted metal lampshade, a steel suspension cable, a black power cord, and an integrated LED, it combines sophisticated design with functional excellence.

Francesco Librizzi - Design Italy

Designer

Francesco Librizzi

Architect, born in 1977, in 2005 he founded Francesco Librizzi Studio in Milan, a design studio that develops architectural projects, interiors, design and temporary installations. Through simple structures traced in the void, his works let emerge the essential traits of space, highlighting the relationships between places, people and objects.

This approach is at the basis of the projects realized for the Triennale di Milano, such as the exhibition "Gino Sarfatti: the design of light" in 2012, an inventory of the serial creative thinking of the great designer and entrepreneur, or the installation "Munari, percorsi a mezz'aria" for the sixth edition of the Triennale Design Museum (2013), designed with Matilde Cassani, spatial metaphor of the exploratory power of the great master and pavilion "D1" realized for the exhibition "Stanze".

Other philosophies of living" (2016), design threshold between landscape, architecture and interior. His works on the interiors elaborate a visual interpretation of a contemporary balance between past and future and lead the contemporary project to inhabit the existing architectural heritage. The installations for the Venice Biennale, the Italian Pavilion at the XII Venice Architecture Biennale in 2010 and the Bahrain Pavilion for the 2012 Biennale, are united in the dialogue between the ephemeral exhibition spaces and the permanence of the fifteenth-century building in the Arsenale. These are some private interior projects that paradoxically mark the meeting of the Studio's design thinking with a vast public. Casa G, (cover project of Abitare n.538), Casa C. (Domus n.958), especially for the presence of essential and sculptural staircases in strong dialogue with the existing context, define a non-decorative three-dimensional way of designing and looking at interior architecture that has met with significant public and critical acclaim obtaining great visibility in international media and prestigious awards such as the Prix Émile Hermès (2008), the Honorable Mention Compasso d'Oro (2014), "The AZ Awards 2015 Best Residential Interior", "Archmarathon Award 2015 "Private houses", the "German Design Award 2018 Best Exhibition Design". In 2016, the meeting with FontanaArte created the opportunity to bring into product design all the research matured by the Studio.

The result is a family of lamps, Setareh, which gives life to delicate relationships between space and light, in a strong dialogue with the mythical identity of the brand. Today, the relationship with FontanaArte continues in the role of Art Director, looking towards broader scenarios of a dialogue between public and industrial designers. Since 2008, Francesco Librizzi has been teaching Interior and Exhibition Design at various universities and design academies. Among these, the Faculty of Architecture of Palermo, the Faculty of Architecture of Genoa, Domus Academy (Milan), NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (Milan).
