Wool throw blanket PUNTO PECORA Large was designed by Studiocharlie and was entirely handcrafted in Italy. Made from 100% virgin Shetland wool in a jacquard weave, this limited-edition and stylish blanket is a contemporary take on the concept of throw blankets.
PUNTO PECORA is a limited edition series of woven throw blankets and an abstract interpretation of the Lanificio Leo brand icon: a lamb. This image was adapted until barely recognisable to become a minimalist graphic design for reproduction on fabric that has been brought to life at different sizes to create a family of S, M and L patterns.
The concept was reinterpreted in a modern way using the traditional technique of jacquard weaving, known as “triplice”. A three-coloured warp and the same colour sequence of weave combine to form three fabric layers, creating a graphical effect in full colour.
Punto Pecora was produced for the first time in 2005 and has been published in many international trade magazines and displayed at various exhibitions. It was chosen by the ADI Design Index and received the AIAP Committee Prize.
