The D.153.1 armchair, designed by Gio Ponti, has been revived by Molteni&C in collaboration with the Ponti Archives and was made in Italy.
The frame is composed of satin brass, while the upholstery comes in two-tone leather or Rubelli's "Punteggiato" fabric. This fabric, envisioned by Ponti in 1934, reinvents the age-old velvet technique, incorporating contemporary patterns such as tightly arranged sequences of stamps in graduated colors. The D.153.1 armchair serves as a captivating addition to the Gio Ponti Collection, showcased at the Salone del Mobile in 2012.
