Between space and time: The theme of Fuorisalone 2022

“Between Space and Time” is the theme of this year’s Fuorisalone in Milan, which will focus on the role of design and its impact on the future of the space we inhabit.

Many important brands will be in attendance this year, including MDF Italia, JCP Universe, Dale Italia and B&B Italia.

Milano's stores window displays as reflections of trends

We can make predictions for Design Week based on the window displays we’re seeing around Milan. Poltrona Frau’s Via Manzoni showroom is exhibiting the brand’s The True Evolution collection in celebration of its history and future. On display are designs which we will see at the Fuorisalone event, expressing an innovative and sustainable design approach and manufacturing processes with a low environmental impact. More traditional creations blend with limited edition pieces, including the multicolored Archibald armchair, and table Homey whose legs are in die-cast aluminum, this being the first time the company has used this technique.

Sicis will also be present at the event with a focus on exquisite and elegant furnishings, first of which its Vetrite mosaic ROCK.

Showroom fittings highlight both an innovative and traditional use of materials. From Sicis to Cassina, Giorgetti’s Via Durini showroom is featuring wood and marble tops, as is Arflex with its Goya coffee table in Carrara marble. The Montgomery chair, designed by Dainelli Studio, is a tribute to solid ash wood. Marble panels decorate furniture, creating contemporary yet timeless décor.

Exquisitely crafted objects made with high quality materials are the dominant factors of the Fuorisalone 2022 collections on display at this year’s event.
