Experience the Made in Italy in Milan by Cristina Morozzi
Design Italy is not only a site that tells and sells Italian, industrial, artisanal, self-produced design, but also a show case located in Milan in Via Vincenzo Monti 12, where you can admire and touch Design Italy catalogue. Following the thread of trends, seasonality, city events, Design Italy in its headquarters, a classic Milanese early twentieth-century palace, will periodically set up thematic exhibitions to spread the word about Italian design and its various expressions, from furniture, accessories to artistic and artisan creations, to self-productions.
The first taste of Design Italy selection will be from 4th december, dedicated to Christmas: the protagonist is a large Christmas tree sculpture, both crafted in pressed cardboard, Arbor Charta, and in pine wood. On a table, set with the fancy ceramic plates of Piatto Unico, stand out the vases "Pinocchio" in Italian glass. On the walls are hung suggestive photos of the Series Convivo by Malena Mazza; the paintings of the Neapolitan artist, Gennaro Regina, a view of Vesuvius and still lifes with figs and oranges and the embroidered portraits of Loredana Giulioli. One can admire the cosy armchairs by BBB Italia, with a wide armrest, designed as a support for a laptop, ideal for smart working; Or marvel at the selection of original animal accessories; the ottomans and armchairs designed by haute couture designer Maurizio Galante for Baleri. Among the accessories stand out the silk scarves by Adima and Stephanie Schenk; the Chancellery of The Italian Interior; Alba Gallizia jewels; the ornaments, inspired by nature, made in leather scraps by Giulia Boccafogli; Schola Testori's luxurious linens collection. All of Design Italy proposals are the result of in-depth research between industrial and artisan realities, respectful of traditions and eco-sustainable, aiming at promoting unique creations often foreign to mass commercial circuits. The collection, updated continuously witnesses the richness and variety of Made in Italy.
